I just end up with some favorites and the rest sit there... Last summer I had a project going on: I was to wear all my shoes at least once. It never happened. :P Henri-V, I have tried living with my stuff in drawers and boxes too (I hate mess) but it just doesn't work. The joy of getting dressed and mixing together outfits just dies away. I need to be able to see it all. When my scarves, handbags, and jewelry live in drawers, I can never find them quickly enough in the morning, or I only use the *same* items in plain view on top of my nightstand.
