Street Fashion: Norway

The last issue of Norwegian Elle featured style diaries from a handful of stylish people. I love stuff like this! I love sneaking into other people closets and see how they put together outfits. I picked some favorites.

The bottom #3 is a skirt worn as a dress. Wonder if I have some skirts that will work…

  1. That ladies got style. Funky, but not over the top…just right. Thanks for posting! Great inspiration.

  2. I love the skirt as top thing! I do that all the time. I’m even designing some skirts right now that would work great for that.

  3. Oh, I know, major inspiration, I flipped throught Elle at the kiosk some days ago, saw this feature, and had to buy the magazine :)

  4. I’ve only worn a skirt-as-top once and that was at a club function. I was helping with decorations so I went early and changed there, before the event started. I brought a long black lace skirt and a semi-transparent print blouse.

To my horror, I found out that I had left the top that went with the blouse. So, made the long skirt a short, and wore the blouse over it.

  5. I like the blue coat on the second row, and the outfit in the first picture, first row. Chic!

  6. It’s such a good idea wearing a skirt as a top, at least for poor students like me. I can have two garments in one. :) I hope you post the skirts you’re making Final Fashion; would be great inspiration.

I also love the first outfit! Wish I wasn’t so busy: I’d be spending lots of time getting dressed every day.

  7. Oh my god-what style! Of course it doesn’t hurt that Norweigens are tall, blond beauties!!! They could wear a potato sack and look killer.

    Great post Agathe!

  8. Hehe. Nice to hear that there are some positive assumptions about Norwegians. I think we’re ususally portraited more as whale hunting barbarians that are afraid of strangers.
