Street Fashion
I am planning to add a street fashion part to the site, and I have barely started by taking pictures of people at parties. This may take a while though, first of all cause I’m very busy, secondly cause I think it’s a little embarassing taking pictures of strangers…
While I work on getting that part up and running I have had a look at different websites with street fashion from around the world.

Hel Looks feautures pictures of street style in Helsinki. Apparently there are many who are inspired by Japanese street fashion, but there are also some very original looks.
For Japanese street fashion, check out Fashion in Japan for those outfits that aren’t way out there. Tokyo Street Style is a little better, though.
The Cobra Snake has party shorts.
2 Threads is a website that offers weekly mails containing fashion snapshots. You don’t even have to remember stopping by the site!
Several magazines and newspapers keep track of what ordinary people are wearing. Many of you have probably already seen the sections in Style.com and Elle. Also New York Times features street fashion once in a while.
Other good ones?

I love street fashion sites, it’s just so fun to see what sort style people from different countries have. Style Diary is a great place to see what normal people wear everyday.

How cool! Actually I am planning to start a street fashion website of my own. But as you said, it is kind of “embarrasing” to stop and ask random people. But I guess I’ll overcome it, because it’s something I’d really love to do! Maybe you’d be interested in participating with pics? You live in Oslo? :)

I have set my mind on overcoming the embarassment! I get a little bummed out every time I see someone I think look good and I end up just walking away… I’d love to participate with pictures from Oslo in a project like that! It may help me actually getting some pictures taken. :) Send me a mail or something so I have your mail address. That way I can contact you as soon as I have something.

My friend was telling me yesterday about the current street fashion trend in China. Apparently A-cut skirts, length being just below the knees, with a long stockings and boots combo is ‘in’. Not my style so I’m not sure how popular it is really.

It’s funny how different trends evolve around the world. Even though it’s not always worth copying, it’s interesting to study! :)

I followed a lead on another blog about Wardrobe_Remix. It’s a really cool flickr group where everyone takes pics of their own daily outfit and people can make comments or just admire. Some very stylish people here. I have yet to post my own outfits as I have been ashamed of my style lately.

Thanks Sandra, this site looks great! I am not so proud of my style lately either. :P Early mornings, cold days and late nights… Many excuses.
