Fashion as Home Decor
What’s better than letting your favorite clothes be a part of your home decoration? I have collected some scraps from the Nowegian Elle.
I have copied the shoes inside of a suitcase idea. I bought some nice old suitcases and paper to dress the insides with at Norway Designs. I keep them stacked, only the top one open with my favorite golden shoes. Inside the others I keep scraps and old memories.
Why not hang some nice clothes up in the window instead of curtains? If there’s a lot of direct sunlight you should be careful having the same garments hanging too long, or they might fade.
Shoes in bookshelves is a good way of storing shoes. They get a little dusty, but it’s so lovely seeing them all at one place!
Or let your favorite items just “casually” lie around the house… It’s kind of nice for all that stuff that doesn’t really fit, but you love so much that you can’t get rid of either.
such beautiful ideas…unfortunately i havent got any room for these ideas but i still love them! for now i have to use my jewellery and bootsale finds as quirky designs!

I don’t have much room either since I moved from a huge apartment to a small one this summer… I found place for a couple of bookshelves for my shoes though. And I keep one dress hanging on the wall. Just for old times sake… :)

These are nice ideas. Unfortunately, like Lors, I don’t have the space and I’m not a tidy person (only occasionally tidying the place up) :p so my putting clothes in the cupboard and shoes neatly in their boxes and stacked under the bed is considered good. Else if I put it around, there’ll soon be something else on top of them (my books-I’m still studying) after a few days.
I would like to have a personal library someday - big, spacious room - and spiff it up with those ideas. :)

I can’t go to sleep unless I have tidied up the place. Wish I had the ability like Ambiguous Wanderer to just leave it sometimes though… :)

And I wish I were a tidier person. :) My study desk is really a mess. I would like to have nice things around but I daren’t put any because they will get dusty or it will eventually be submerged in my other stuff stacked around it.

I wish I had more money so I could have my whole apartment looking like this. And that I had more spear time so I could sit around in my beautiful apartment drinking tea and reading magazines all morning…
