Norwegian Design #1
Since I’m from Norway, Norwegian design is one of the things within fashion that I can contribute with that might not me known to many. All though Norwegian design lags behind in many ways, there are also some exciting and good designers. I will therefore present one designer once in a while, and maybe you’ll find something you like. Since I try to be cost concius in this blog, think of it more as inspiration if you are as broke as I am.
First up is Arne & Carlos. These two guys started this lable in 2002, and their clothes are inspired by Norwegian folk costumes and women such as Dolly Parton (!). If you think this sounds strange, just have a look at the pictures instead. I love them, they are so beautiful (and very Norwegian) that it get’s kind of hard to notice the clothes…
